LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. —Leave the brain-eating zombies and psycho serial killers to Universal Orlando, because at Walt Disney World the scares are a bit less intense.
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, with not-so-scary ghosts and not-so-scary goblins, kicks off Friday and continues on select nights from 7 p.m. to midnight through Oct. 31.
The annual holiday tradition around Magic Kingdom features some of Disney's most beloved characters dressed in Halloween costumes. Guests are encouraged wear costumes and go trick-or-treating around the park.
The festivities also include the twice nightly "Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween Parade" (8:30 and 11:15 p.m.) and "HalloWishes," a green and orange fireworks show at 10:15 p.m.
Returning this year are the Sanderson Sisters in the "Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular" stage show. The show will be presented three times each party night at 9:15 p.m., 10:40 p.m. and midnight
