LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. —The Muppets are going back in time.

       "The Muppets Present: Great Moments in American History," a new stage show starring Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Kermit the Frog and the rest of the gang, will debut at Magic Kingdom in October.

       According to Disney, the new show will feature Sam Eagle, a patriotic American eagle, and The Muppets telling historical tales from America's past. The Muppets will "share their own unique take on the founding fathers and the birth of the United States," from Paul Revere's midnight ride to the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

       The show will take place outside The Hall of Presidents and will include original songs.

       "The Muppets Present: Great Moments in American History" will be presented several times a day.

       Earlier this month, Disney announced it would open PizzeRizzo, a pizza restaurant at the Muppets Courtyard at  Hollywood Studios whose owner is Rizzo the Rat from The Muppets.
